Panchakarma is an ancient and traditional Ayurvedic treatment that involves five special procedures to cleanse and rejuvenate the body. The goal of Panchakarma is to remove toxins and waste products from the body and restore its natural balance.


The five procedures of Panchakarma are:


1. Vamana (Emesis): Induced vomiting to remove excess mucus and toxins from the upper respiratory and digestive systems.

2. Virechana (Purgation): Controlled purging to remove toxins and waste products from the intestines and promote healthy digestion and metabolism.

3. Basti (Enema): Herbal enemas to cleanse and nourish the colon and rectum, and balance the Vata dosha.

4. Nasya (Nasal Administration): Administration of herbal oils or preparations through the nasal passage to cleanse and rejuvenate the head and neck region.

5. Rakta Mokshana (Bloodletting): A procedure to remove impurities from the blood, rarely used in modern practice.
